I have a 48" table with about a 4" thickness, so I ordered the 52" diameter tablecloth. It smoothed out beautifully (I just used ny hands), and although a bit large it doesn't slip around on the table top⏤BUT I also have a rough waterproof fabric underneath it, so that probably helps. I don't recall where I purchased that. The combination of the two gives a nice feel; soft but not spongy..You can see that the bottom cloth has a canvas-like texture on the top, and a felt texture on the bottom. I searched to see where I bought it, but couldn't find the info. I'll post a comment if I do.The elastic bands on this Amazon purchase don't snug up tight, but the 48" version might have worked perfectly. I'm keeping this one however, since it's working fine and isn't sliding around.The first day I put it on, a visitor complimented me on it. To me it only vaguely resembles the picture of the product listed. I am keeping it because for the price and fit, it works!I AM DIFFICULT TO PLEASE. THIS IS ONE BEAUTIFUL FITTED CLOTH.
